Detachable waist strap uses
TL;DR
It adds stability on the move and gives you quick-access storage. On Athlete, the waist strap is detachable and can be used as a running belt on its own.
The waist strap’s job is to lock the pack to your hips, reducing sway and bounce when you run or cycle. Clip it on, tighten evenly on both sides, and you’ll immediately feel the load sit closer to your body. Many commuters also use the small pockets on the belt for keys, cards or gels.
On the Athlete roll-top backpack, the waist strap is detachable. That means you can remove it for low-intensity days or wear it as a standalone running belt for short sessions when you only need the essentials. Re-attach it for longer runs or heavier loads.
Alpha models include waist straps designed for commuting stability (with quick-grab pocketing); Podium focuses on a compact fit with hide-away straps for briefcase/office carry. Adjust to comfort — the right tension is snug but not restrictive.
