The most comfortable running backpack yet: lightweight, water-resistant, and built with breathable mesh padding on the back panel for maximum comfort. This is the ultralight version of our best-selling Athlete backpack, featuring a roll-top design for flexible storage.
With a 12-litre capacity, it carries a light change of clothes and your daily essentials, including a small laptop up to 13″. It transitions effortlessly from daily commutes to weekend trails and fits 2 x 500ml soft flasks at the front, plus a hydration bladder at the back when not carrying a laptop.
This backpack is designed for running. It weighs only 420g / 14.8 oz . Maximum laptop size: 35cm x 22cm / 13.7″ x 8.6″. Hydration bladders up to 2litre.

- The main body fabric is 840D Nylon with 2-tone weave and PU coating on both sides for water repellency.
- YKK zippers and pullers for the highest quality hardware
- DWR (durable water repellent) lining in front zip pockets
- Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Air dry.

- All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Nottingham, UK.
- We offer free delivery on all UK orders and free delivery on all international orders over £100.
- UK orders are delivered with next-day delivery service but please allow 1- 3 days.
- Outside the UK we use tracked and signed delivery service which normally take around 7-10 days.
- Not the right fit? No problem. We offer 90 day hassle-free returns.
- Items should be returned within 90 days of their delivery date and in their original packaging.
Athlete Ultralight vs Athlete Original Backpack
Both the Athlete Ultralight and Athlete Original feature a roll-top design and are built for running. The Athlete Ultralight is significantly smaller, with a 12-litre capacity compared to the 18-litre capacity of the original Athlete backpack. The materials also differ — the Athlete Ultralight is soft and lightweight, while the Athlete Original is sturdier and more structured.
Please note: The Athlete backpack can carry laptops up to 16″, whereas the Athlete Ultralight fits laptops up to 13″.
