FAQ

What is the difference between Stolt Alpha and Stolt Podium?

Stolt Alpha is our original cyclists and runners backpack for commuting with a capacity of 20 litres (25 litres when using the expandable compartment). Stolt Podium is a smaller version of Alpha (10 litre capacity expanding to 13 litres) with some additional features such as our ‘3 way carry’ meaning that the bag can be carried as a backpack, briefcase or a shoulder bag.

Where Alpha serves you even on an overnight business trip, Podium is classified more as a day pack that fits your daily essentials. Our garment box is also designed for Stolt Alpha to carry more clothes, whereas Stolt Podium has an internal built-in sleeve to fit a shirt and trousers. Please note that the garment box doesn’t fit inside Stolt Podium.

What is the difference between the Alpha backpack and Alpha C backpack?

All Alpha commuter backpacks have the same ergonomic design with a few differences to suit your individual style. The original Alpha rucksack uses a super durable, light-weight material – perfect for cyclists and runners. It also comes with a top handle and hideaway backpack straps.

The Alpha C has an additional side handle for carrying as a suitcase or shoulder bag. It’s also made of a tougher 1680D ballistic nylon which makes it slightly sturdier than the original Alpha.

What is included in the commuter backpack sets?

This running backpack set includes the Stolt Alpha backpack plus all the essential accessories we’ve developed to help you commute in style. This includes a garment box, laundry bag, folding card and a hi vis backpack cover.
